Many cosy footwear fans are on the hunt for alternatives to UGGs at a more affordable price, once the chilly season arrives.

As a long term fan of the brand and owner of multiple pairs of real UGGs and UGGs lookalikes over the years I’ve picked out 21 UGGs alternatives that pass the bar for me in terms of style, quality and price to help others find a new warm pair of their own – including vegan alternatives and UGG slippers alternatives too!

I’m wearing my current pair at my desk as I type this (don’t mind my messy desk cables)!

1. Ausland Water Resistant Leather Mid-Calf Boots – TOP PICK!

Check current price on Amazon here.

These boots by Ausland are the best alternatives to UGGs in my opinion, as they are great quality and really well priced when compared to expensive UGGs.

They are available in a range of colors to suit all tastes, and have some solid pros (as well as a few cons which I will cover below).

Here are the pros and cons of these UGGs alternatives:

Pros:

  • These boots are water resistant, making them a great choice for winter.
  • Awesome price – much cheaper than UGGs without compromising design and quality! I thought these would be way more pricey than they actually are, which is always a nice surprise.
  • They are made with cowhide leather and other great quality materials.
  • They feature an EVA sole with anti skid grooving.
  • Soft and cosy furry lining for comfort on chilly days.
  • The brand feature a great size chart that’s really comprehensive for different foot types (wide too!). Overall the boots fit true to size.

Cons:

  • These boots may fit a little snug if you have wide feet. Consider sizing a half size up if you are in doubt.
  • The fur lining whilst super cosy is not shearling, like it is in the UGGs boots. This is understandable for the price, as a shearling lining comes at a much steeper price tag.

2. Vepose Winter Boots Suede Snow Booties – LOW PRICE!

Check current price on Amazon here.

If you’re looking for a pair of taller boots like UGGs, but can’t shell out for the expensive name tag then check out these winter boots by Vepose.

They’re tall, really warm, and best of all they are affordable.

Here is a break down of the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • Great low price! These boots are an excellent option for those on a budget, or for those who haven’t tried to UGGs style boot before, and want to give it a shot to see if they like it.
  • Lightweight, with a soft lining for winter comfort.
  • Available in a range of colors.
  • Tall, to keep your calves warm!
  • Suede uppers and imitation wool.
  • Chunky sole with an anti-skid design for great grip in winter.
  • Excellent ratings on Amazon.

Cons:

  • Some customers find they run a little tight, so size up if you are in doubt.

Overall these are a great UGGs dupe in my opinion when factoring the height of the boots and the low price. I like to keep my calves and ankles really warm in winter, making these tall boots one of my top choices.

3. JOY IN LOVE Women’s Snow Boots With Bows

Check current price on Amazon here.

These snow boots by JOY IN LOVE are really cute UGG dupes with bows.

If you like the UGGs boots with the bow design but want to find a similar style for a better price then you may like these lovely boots.

Here are the pros and cons of these bow style UGGs alternatives:

Pros:

  • Thick EVA sole with a non slip design – a must have for me in the winter months!
  • Super cute bow design with furry lining.
  • Available in a range of colors to suit any wardrobe.
  • Genuine suede upper and soft faux fur lining.
  • Really low price when compared to UGG boots.

Cons:

  • As the fur lining is so thick it means the boots do run a little small. Here is the sizing adjustments recommended by the brand: “narrow foot” 0.5 size up, “medium foot” 1 size up, “wide foot” 1.5 size up.

My final thoughts on these boots are really positive. I love the bow design, it adds a little flare to the plain UGG type style, and the price is really low considering the quality and materials used.

4. BEARPAW Women’s Alyssa Ankle Boot

Check current price on Amazon here.

I’m really impressed with these lower cut UGGs from the BEARPAW on Amazon – they’re high quality and affordable, with thousands of customer reviews marking them as a popular product.

Here are the pros and cons of this pair:

Pros:

  • 100% suede, for a soft yet water resistant design.
  • Sheepskin and wool blend lining.
  • Grooved rubber outsole for additional grip.
  • Available in 17 different shades to choose from – I love having a great color range to decide between.
  • The boots feature a really similar design to UGG boots, so if you’re after a close dupe you may like these!

Cons:

  • The boots will stretch and loosen slightly as they are worn in, so keep this in mind when ordering your size.

Overall these boots are a great option if you’re after some better priced UGGs lookalikes, that have a lower cut. They have a good sole and are made with nice quality materials, and the customer reviews on Amazon are really positive.

5. DREAM PAIRS Women’s Mid Calf Winter Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

Dream Pairs are known for making great shoes, with a huge range available on Amazon. I like their products and have owned pairs of their shoes in the past.

Their UGGs dupe winter boots are lovely quality and are well priced – I just had to include them on this list!

Let’s get into the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • Nice quality EVA rubber sole, with anti skid grooves. These grooves increase traction with wintery floors!
  • A woven panel back design with adjustable straps – I like this design as it adds something to the sometimes plain UGG boot look.
  • Available in five shades to choose from.
  • Super soft faux fur lining and sheepskin footbed insole.
  • Affordable price – I love to see it!

Cons:

  • They aren’t pre waterproofed so you may wish to waterproof them yourself.

If you need help finding a good waterproofing spray, I have a full guide to the best waterproofing sprays here.

6. Ausland Water Resistant Leather Mid-Calf Snow Boots – In Chocolate!

Check current price on Amazon here.

Another great pick from Ausland (I really like this brand for quality and similarity to the UGG style), this time in a rich chocolate shade.

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • These boots are water resistant which is a big pro for me.
  • A reasonable price when you factor in the high quality of materials used.
  • Soft leather upper and fur lining.
  • Durable EVA sole that is lightweight to wear. Anti skid grooves feature along the outer sole for better traction when walking.
  • Lovely shade of chocolate brown, and nice quality brand label on the outer heel of the boot.

Cons:

  • If you have wide feet or a broad instep you may have to consider sizing a half size up.

Overall these are a great pair of boots like UGGs but cheaper, made with good materials. They are water resistant, and are a much fairer price than a pair of UGG boots. I like the color and think it would show stains much less.

This boot is also available in a range of other shades, including a nice soft pink and a grey.

7. Cushionaire Women’s Hipster pull on boot With Memory Foam

Check current price on Amazon here.

These pull on boots by Cushionaire boots are a great vegan alternative to UGGs. They’re affordable, made with great quality materials and they feature a comfortable memory foam foot bed.

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • Made with soft vegan suede upper. The upper is a lovely quality, as a bonus it’s cheaper than real suede.
  • Chunky rubber sole with a grippy design to help prevent slips in winter. The outsole is also designed to be long lasting and durable.
  • Soft faux shearling lining for comfort and warmth similar to the real thing.
  • Memory foam insole for added padding – this is a good pro for me, as I like really comfy support for my arches.
  • Available in two shades – Chestnut and Black.
  • Really positive reviews, with many customers finding them to be a super comfortable fit thanks to the memory foam.

Cons:

  • The customer reviews on Amazon mention they do run a little small, so if you are in doubt consider sizing a half size up.

My final thoughts on these boots – a great vegan option and comfort option for those who enjoy memory foam in their shoes.

8. HStylish Women’s Classic Fur Snow Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

How cute are these furry snow boots by HStylish? The boots also feature a nice bow design on the side, making them a super warm alternative to UGGs for those who like a little extra fashion flare.

Here are the pros and cons of these furry snow boots:

Pros:

  • Great price – I love to see a low price, there’s nothing like getting a bargain AND cosy feet!
  • Rubber sole with a grippy groove pattern to help prevent slips in winter weather. The sole is also designed to repel water and ensure the soles of the feet are kept dry.
  • Cushioned furry lining – 100% faux fur, designed to be plush and as lush as sheepskin.
  • Available in three colors to choose from – brown, grey and black.
  • Nice crisscross tie on the side that can be tied into a little bow. I love added details like this as they elevate the UGGs style design into something a bit more fun.
  • Good quality stitching on these boots – this is great to see, as quality craftsmanship ensures a longer boot life!

Cons:

  • I would like to see these boots available in half sizes, but unfortunately they only come in whole sizes. This could make things a little tricky for those in between sizes, so I would suggest rounding your size up to the next whole size to be safe.

9. PAMIR Women’s Sheepskin Ankle Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

These sheepskin ankle boots by PAMIR are a lovely alternative to UGG boots if you are looking for something in between UGGs and ankle boots.

The pretty gold side zipper and the sheepskin detailing over the boots dresses up the UGGs inspired style a little bit, without compromising comfort and warmth.

Here are their pros and cons:

Pros:

  • 100% suede leather with a sheepskin lining. These boots are super warm, thanks to the use of high quality materials. Sheepskin really keeps the heat in.
  • Rubber sole with grooves for extra grip – a must for winter boots in my opinion.
  • The inner sole is thickened with a 60% lambs wool material, for padded comfort when walking. I like to see this in boots as I always need extra support for my arches.
  • The boots feature a little zip design on the sides, which I like to see also. The zip would help when getting the boots on and off, plus it adds a nice bit of gold detailing.

Cons:

  • The boots may run a little small for you if you have wide feet, so consider sizing a half size up to be safe.

10. DREAM PAIRS Women’s Mid Calf Snow Boots – in Sand!

Check current price on Amazon here.

I love the sand shade of these UGG boot alternatives, so I had to include them in this post. Plus, I really like Dream Pairs as an affordable brand, and have owned their shoes before.

This pair of snow boots are a low price, which makes them a great choice for those who want to rock the UGG boots style (and comfort!) on a budget.

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • The boots feature a super soft sheepskin lining which is really surprising considering their low price! Usually boots for this price would feature faux lining.
  • Crafted with suede leather.
  • Good tread design on the rubber outsole for help preventing skids.
  • Cushioned footbed for extra comfort when walking.
  • Nice stitch detailing.
  • Multiple color choices available!

Cons:

  • The boots can run a tad tight, so size a half size up if you are in doubt.

11. DREAM PAIRS Women’s Winter Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

Another classic style UGGs boot dupe from Dream Pairs. I like these boots because they have a similar shade to the classic UGGs, they are cheap, plus they have awesome reviews.

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • The boots feature a suede leather upper and a sheepskin lining – another great pick with quality materials but a low price!
  • Dream pairs have a good size chart if you are in doubt about your size. I like to see brands including this, and accepting returns if customers accidentally get the wrong size.
  • Made with a cushioned shearling foot bed – this makes for a super warm and comfortable fit.
  • Rich chestnut color, similar to the classic UGGs style.
  • A shorter cut, covering the ankle but not full calf.

Cons:

  • The soles of the boots are quite chunky and substantial which can make them feel a bit heavy. Personally I don’t mind this, but if you like really lightweight footwear then keep this in mind.

12. DKSUKO Women’s Classic Waterproof Snow Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

If you’re looking for a darker UGGs alternative that won’t show stains as quickly then check out these waterproof snow boots by DKSUKO.

Here are the pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Waterproofed for maximum comfort in the winter months. Having waterproof snow boots is a must! The exterior is also dirt-resistant should help avoid the commonly found stains on real UGG boots.
  • Made with a natural rubber sole with an anti slip design. The sole is vulcanised to help with heat retention and water resistance.
  • The material of the boot upper is flannel, so they are vegan friendly. They also feature thick fleece lining to keep your feet cosy.
  • CHEAP PRICE!
  • They fit true to size.

Cons:

  • I think the finish on these boots could be a little better – the stitching around the collar can be a little uneven. However for the price this is a small sacrifice.

13. Bearpaw Women’s Koko Boot

Check current price on Amazon here.

These Koko boots by Bearpaw are a nice UGGs alternative for someone who wants the UGGs level of comfort, but with a bit more style.

The boot is shaped like an ankle boot, with a furry collar for comfort and a pop of detail. They are more dressy than UGG boots, which makes them a nice choice for weekend winter activities (sometimes UGG boots can look a little too casual!).

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • Soft sheepskin foot bed for toasty toes.
  • Wool upper – I like to see a nice quality material used, as it’s super warming and long lasting.
  • Nice buckle strap for a smart casual bit of detail.
  • Chunky rubber soles with great grooves – this is an essential feature for winter boots in my opinion.
  • Overall really nice quality boots, that come in at half the price of UGGs. Plus they have thousands of good customer ratings, showing they are a popular product for their style and quality.

Cons:

  • Not as easy to slip on and off as UGG boots. Think of these boots as somewhere in between UGGs and ankle boots. You’ll have to use the strap etc.

14. Vepose Women’s Suede Snow Booties

Check current price on Amazon here.

Personally I really like the look of black snow boots, as they match well with black jeans and leggings for a more seamless outfit.

These suede snow booties by Vepose are a great pick in terms of their low price and similar look to black UGGs.

Here are their pros and cons:

Pros:

  • These boots are 100% suede leather. It’s nice to see good quality, water resistant materials being used.
  • Thick imitation wool lining to keep your feet warm and dry in wintery conditions.
  • The boots are overall lightweight, which reduces stress on your ankles.
  • Nice rubber sole with anti skid grooves.
  • Black suede shows stains much less quickly, which is a huge pro for me. My own pair of brown UGG boots always show stains quickly, which is annoying as I have to try and clean them more often!

Cons:

  • These boots do run slightly small in size, so if you plan on wearing them with chunky socks consider sizing a half size up.

15. DREAM PAIRS Women’s House Slippers – Alternative to UGG Slippers!

Check current price on Amazon here.

UGG slipper are all the rage right now, but they do come with a steep price tag. If you are on the market for a nice pair of UGG slippers alternatives then you may like these super cosy house slippers by Dream Pairs.

They have a similar design to UGG slippers and cover the back of your heel for extra warmth. They also feature a nice fuzzy slipper collar to keep your ankles toasty which I love to see in slippers.

Here are their pros and cons:

Pros:

  • The slippers feature a light and flexible EVA sole. I like to see this in slippers as I don’t like anything too heavy or stiff on my feet. Flexible soles are important for my arches!
  • LOW PRICE!
  • The outsole has been tested for cold exposure, and has proved to be thermal and insulating even in severe conditions.
  • Made with soft faux fur lining that has good moisture absorption and is very warm.
  • Wear resistant microfiber upper. The slippers have a suede sole.

Cons:

  • Initially these slippers may feel tight, as they need to loosen over time. If you are in doubt size a half size up.

16. CAMEL CROWN Women’s Warm Faux Fur Lined Snow Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

I love these chunky snow boots by Camel Crown! The side zipper is a huge plus for easy access, making them strong alternatives to UGGs for those who like some practical detail on their boots.

The fuzzy fur lining is nice to see too, and it can be folded down (as pictured) so the boots can be styled in two different ways.

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • Thermoplastic sole, to prevent the cold from the ground seeping into the boots. The sole is also wear resistant and non slip.
  • A practical folding shaft and zipper so the boots can be worn two different ways – this is awesome!
  • Lined with thick faux fur to keep your feet cosy.
  • Made with high quality synthetic leather making them great vegan alternatives to UGGs.
  • Available in two colors to choose from.
  • Really affordable price!
  • Nice pinched seaming, which is a similar style to real UGGs.

Cons:

  • Not many half size options available which I’m not a fan of. I do prefer shoes and boots to be available in half sizes as I’m a half size in some brands.

17. KRABOR Women’s Suede Snow Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

These women’s snow boots by Krabor are another cute alternative to the popular UGG boots style with bows.

Here are the pros and cons of these alternatives to UGGs:

Pros:

  • Available in brown, black and grey. I love to see multiple color options that will fit into any wardrobe.
  • Lovely fur and bow decoration on the side. This wintery fashion detail adds something to the basic UGGs style.
  • Non slip, durable EVA sole. This thick sole will help keep the heat in the boots and will provide cushioning when walking.
  • Breathable and dry faux fur lined interior.
  • Krabor offer a 100% money back guarantee if you aren’t satisfied with your boots.

Cons:

  • If you want to wear thick socks with these boots then you may want to consider sizing one size up, as they do run true to size. They may feel a little tight if worn with chunky socks, in your actual size.

18. TeqHome Winter Boots for Women – SUPER LOW PRICE!

Check current price on Amazon here.

I had to include these winter boots by TeqHome on this list simply because of how affordable they are.

If you are looking to try out an UGGs style boot, but you don’t want to fork out a lot of cash then these boots are definitely worth checking out!

Here are the pros and cons of these alternatives to UGGs:

Pros:

  • Available in four classic colors to pick from.
  • Really low price!
  • The shaft can be worn straight up (at a six inch mid calf height) or folded down to create a nice ankle boot style (as pictured).
  • Made with suede and a thick plush fur lining for warmth.
  • The boots have been treated to repel water and have an oil paper lining (underneath the plush) which keeps moisture out of the boots.

Cons:

  • You may need to add an extra insole if you require more arch support.
  • They don’t arrive in a box, so this is something to be mindful of if you are buying them as a gift.

19. TF STAR Sheepskin Fur Lining Winter Warm Boots for Women

Check current price on Amazon here.

These sheepskin lined winter boots by TF STAR are lovely alternatives to UGGs if you like a richer tan color (when compared to classic UGGs) and bow detailing.

Here are the pros and cons of these boots:

Pros:

  • Thick rubber sole – tradelite variety. A good quality rubber sole is essential for snow boots, as it needs to be flexible for comfort when walking, but also keep the cold from the ground out of the boots.
  • Lined with double sheepskin for super warm feet! I like to see good quality materials like this used in winter boots, as they really do make all the difference when keeping the heat in.
  • Suede upper, for a soft and water resistant outer layer.
  • Cute bow detailing on the back of the boots.
  • Available in four colors to choose from to suit any wardrobe.

Cons:

  • If you are in between shoe sizes then you may want to size up, so you have room for thick socks.

20. LongBay Women’s Chenille Knit Bootie Slippers

Check current price on Amazon here.

I had to include another UGGs slippers alternative in this post as I’m a big fan of cosy slippers!

These chenille slipper boots by LongBay are a super comfy (and affordable) alternative to UGGs to wear around the house in the winter months.

Here are their pros and cons:

Pros:

  • Chunky and soft velvet chenille upper, that retains heat really well.
  • Plush fleece lining that feels great against your feet.
  • Features a rubber sole that has great non slip traction (ideal for hardwood or slippery tiled floors). The sole is both durable and flexible, for a comfortable step.
  • Available in four color choices.
  • Thousands of positive customer reviews – these slippers are a super popular choice!
  • Great low price.

Cons:

  • Could so with a little thicker of an insole, however this can easily be rectified with an insert (I’m just super picky about arch support!).

21. CAMEL CROWN Women’s Mid-Calf Faux Fur Lined Snow Boots

Check current price on Amazon here.

These snow boots by Camel Crown are great alternatives to UGGs for those who like pretty bow and faux fur detailing on the outside of their boots. They are a nice dupe for the UGGs bow boots that are popular each winter.

Here are the pros and cons of these alternatives to UGGs:

Pros:

  • Great price considering the overall quality and design of the boots (I thought these would be much more expensive than they are)!
  • Super warm and thick faux fur lining. Fully lined to protect your toes from the cold.
  • Available in black also, to match any wardrobe.
  • Lightweight sole with an anti slip design for safety when walking. The sole is really easy to clean too, which is a big plus in my opinion!
  • Made with high quality synthetic leather.
  • Nice bow and faux fur detailing on the outer sides of the boots.

Cons:

  • Not many half size options available which is a little disappointing.

FAQs

Why are UGGs so expensive?

UGGs are so expensive because of the high quality materials they are crafted with (sheepskin lining, insole and upper), their meticulous overlock stitching and craftsmanship, and brand quality assurance.

UGG boots are also iconic footwear, a factor which often adds a little to the price tag (fashion is pricy!).

They are made with the following costly materials:

  • 17mm sheepskin lining.
  • 17mm sheepskin insole.
  • 17mm Twinface sheepskin upper
  • High quality Treadlite™ outsole that is trademarked to the UGG brand.
  • Leather heel label with embossed UGG® logo.
  • Overlock stitching (this is a high quality and high durability stitching technique that ensures a long boot life).

UGG boots are also treated for waterproofing, which adds to their overall cost.
